Here's an interview with Billy Squier.

I'm getting some story about a band called 'ENEMYMAKER888.' Do they actually have bands that name themselves after messageboard handles?Originally Posted by Deathstroke

Okay, here's what I don't get. Didn't Alan Douglas obtain the rights to Jimi's music after Michael Jefferies death, which saw Leo Branton sold it off under Al Hendrix's nose? And didn't the Hendrix family win it back in 1995 after a two year court battle? Or does "catalog" refer to something else?Ocean Tomo Auctions, LLC, a division of the Chicago-based intellectual capital merchant banc, Ocean Tomo, today announced it has been retained by the administrator of the estate of Michael Frank Jeffery to sell their rights, title and interest in the entire Jimi Hendrix music catalog.
I'm confused...
I'm confused too. I thought Al and Janie Hendrix currently held the rights to Jimi's back catalogue.

To be honest, I have no clue as to what's going on, I can't keep track of this crap of who owns what.Originally Posted by Spike-X

I've been having a poke around the Experience Hendrix site, but I can't find anything there about this.
Seems the issues surrounding the rights to Hendrix's material are even more muddled and complicated than those involving the rights to Miracleman.

Also, the people who post to the Blabbermouth site are...well, let's just say that site is a wonderful example of the need for moderators on message boards.

Which is also why you see a lot of news articles on the site where the stars are SLAMMING the posters on the site.Originally Posted by Spike-X

I guess it doesn't help that Jimi signed like half a dozen conflicting contracts during his lifetime.
"What? I need to sign this before I can play? Oh, sure, whatever..."
