For me, I'm getting rid of all my monthlies and switching to trades, and my trade collection isn't what I would consider up to par. And really, TPBs are an easy way to get into something, and if I don't like it, it's just something I add to my trade pile. That's why I'll take ALMOST any TPB that's offered to me. Hey, I'm easy. :D

i happen to fit in that category too. Hard Time wasn't something i was particularly interested in, but definitely something i wouldn't have minded exploring!

Like I said, I could have been way off and making an idiot of myself by making an unfounded assumption. It happens to me a lot.

    Default My updated want list

Here's a copy of my updated want list.

Well, never mind. I tried to attach it, but the files are too big. I've got a copy of my want list (which includes trade paperbacks, hardcover collections, original graphic novels, books, DVDs, and CDs) as text, Word, and PDF documents, so if you'd like to take a look, please PM me with your email address.

I've come up with a new trade system for myself that I hope will help me get rid of more of my comics and get some more things in my hands.

For the TPBs, HCs, and OGNs on my list, they're broken up into 4 sections: Must Haves, Would Like to Read, Wouldn't Mind Having, and I'll Take 'em If That's All You've Got. I think that most people I've traded with would say I'm fair. When conducting a trade, I like to trade even-Steven, value for value. Here's how I'd like to do my new system.

    1. For my "I'll Take 'em If That's All You've Got" category, I'm still going to do the even-Steven, value for value trade, which comes out to the value of my comics (using ComicsPriceGuide.com and factoring in their condition) for the value of whatever you're trading me (which is usually cover price for a TPB, HC, or OGN, but if CPG.com has it value higher, that's fine...and I use Amazon.com to determine DVD and CD prices).

    2. For my "Wouldn't Mind Having" category, I'll do a 1.25-to-1 trade in your favor. Let's say you've got a $20 TPB that you're looking to trade with me. With this ratio, I'll trade you $25 in comics.

    3. For my "Would Like to Read" category, I'll do a 1.5-to-1 trade in your favor. Using the same $20 TPB as an example, you'll be getting $30 in comics from me.

$. For my "Must Have" category, I'll do a 2-to-1 trade in your favor. Again with the $20 TPB as an example, you'll be getting $40 in comics from me.

As far as how the DVDs and CDs fit in the above categories, that will be on a case-by-case basis, but if it's something I have listed, it'll probably be more than the 1-to-1, even-Steven trade.

If I've confused anybody, PM me for an explanation.

I should probably also point out that this is NOT a thread trading rule, but my personal trading rule. I'm just hoping this will get me some more stuff by helping me get rid of some of my stuff.
