I hated the Legacy Virus storyline. It killed off far too many characters that I liked. I liked Illyana, with her sweet, innocent girl/demon sorceress dichotomy. Hell, I just loved her as Kitty's best friend in GLMK. Granted, making her the uber-bitch she was in Exiles would probably lose me after a while, but darnit, I want her back.

Sure. Never liked how the writer killed Piotr's family, his sister, and then made him commit suicide. Now we have Piotr back, may as well bring back his lil 'Snowflake' also. House of M should leave her alive after the event, just to make her return easier. :)

Absolutely.

I'd love to pretend that I think bringing characters back from the dead is a violation of the sanctity and importance of death, that it nullifies the emotional impact of a well written death, that bringing people back takes the drama out of the other deaths... but I don't. That seems to be the intelligent way to view this issue and I'd love to be seen as intelligent! When push comes to shove, though, I just want to read stories about the characters I love. I'm glad Peter's back, I'm glad Betsy's back. I felt joyful after reading the issues where they returned because they were back in my life. Sad but true.

For me, their return hasn't negated the power of their deaths, its just increased the power of their returns, and given the characters, and their relationships with others, increased depth and resonance. I love Illyana. I enjoyed the Legacy Virus, I cried when she died, I thought her death was well-written, meaningful and impactful, but I want to read about her again. I don't actually believe she'll come back permanently any time soon, and I can also understand why many fans would be enraged if she did return... but I wanna see her. Can't deny it.

I was never that thrilled with Mikhail.

All things considered, I find it interesting that Piotr was the weakest, power-wise, of the Rasputins. Sorry, middle child syndrome kicking in.

Maybe he's due for secondary mutation- maybe something with with his energy signature?

Yes. Illyana SHOULD come back. I absolutely hated that she was killed. In fact, I hate the Legacy Virus all together.

Yes, Illyana Rasputin should come back to the X-Men. I would like Chris Claremont to writer her in Uncanny X-Men since he can think of a creative way to bring her back from the dead. Actually, her resurrection would be the most logical & easiest to explain since Limbo deals with both space & time. As Magik, she controlled space & time via Limbo's stepping discs...

Exactly. Given the very nature of Limbo, it would be easy to bring back Magik and little Illyana's "meaningful" death from the Legacy Virus wouldn't have to be contradicted at all.
