Cool In Kc it was what happened to superman more than age, that changed his apearence.

A small amount of aging yes, even more was what happened to his wife, beaten to death by the joker] his friends at the planet killed by mr.j. His rejection by the public he had served and a long self imposed exile! The only contact he had wih the outside world was with wonder woman.

He seems to youthen, as well, with enough of the right sun exposure.

I'd say it depends on a lot of factors whether he'll ever look 60, assuming history would ever progress that far in the DCU.

I say he should always look around 30-35. It just wouldn't make sense for him to look older than that, given he'll virtually live forever.

IIRC he was all shiney and gold in DC 1,000,000.

I get the impression that Supes would age very slowly, but would probably never look much older than 60

The simple explanation Grant Morrison gave was that he's absorbed solar energy for so long, and he was at the heart of the sun for x amount of years, that he now radiates it as well. In the new Krypton planet Hourman 1M help put together, the Kryptonians there are powered by Superman Prime himself.

    Cool concept!

I've never really liked the idea that Clark doesn't age normally or do other things comparatively like humans (most notably mate and reproduce). There has to be a willing suspension of disbelief when considering that several alien races are identical to Earthlings so I don't see why we can't on other comparisons to humans.

I believe his aging slows down the more solar energy he accumulates.

In current continuity, he can but there's always been this sort of thing among some fans that it would be impossible. I personally hate this just as I hate that some try to say that he can't reproduce. If Kryptonians look exactly like humans which is biologically speaking one of the biggest against-all-odds occurrences then I think he can interact with humans pretty much the same way they interact with each other. Being invulnerable to the point that you can't feel anything is just sad and makes for some very uninteresting stories since it would be impossible for Clark to live a normal life which is part of what makes Superman who he is. I think of invulnerablity much like his heat and x-ray vision. It's something that he turns on and off but in this case it's always there to protect him if he's sneak attacked.
