Kathy Mattea has signed with Sugar Hill Records and will release the new CD Calling Me Home later this year. The album is described as an ode to her home state of West Virginia.

Ok, guys, may be somebody could explain me what s a big deal about Carrie Underwood? Why is she so popular in the US? What are her unique qualities. As far as i know, yes, she has a good voice and she is pretty, but so are many other singers as well? For example, Michael Jackson, was a remarkable dancer and had a great style etc. What about her that makes America applaud her so much ?
