King Thor is skyfather level. He's Thor with the Odinforce.

Then there's Rune Thor, who appears to be as buff as a skyfather gets.

Either version is still only skyfather level, which falls short of the Void.

Interesting. Over on the RuneThor vs. Sentry thread, a veteran member or two seems to be going with RK Thor over Sentry though on this thread it seems to be swinging the other way.

When people were arguing this, only Sentry v. 1 had come out. Much of what was said in that version seems to be hyperbole.

I wouldn't say things are swinging the other way, someone is just misinformed. The one saying Sentry will win basically is making the claim that the Sentry is on a level of power equal to or suprassing that of a skyfather. This couldn't really be further from the truth.

Still, this thread is from a time when the Sentry was way overhyped, see the "threatening a universe by being alive" for instance.

I don't see why there would be. His Void feats count, but none of them show he's a universal threat, that simply came from statements from characters.

Even Sentry's high end stuff doesn't put him beyond skyfather level. To use an actual character, Sentry isn't anywhere near as powerful as say..Odin. If he truly was above skyfathers, he would be around Odin's level. Even his top stuff like briefly containing a cosmic cube, doesn't compare to destroying galaxies and such.

Sentry isn't overhyped. Just ask Morgana or Dr. Strange.

To refer to him as a universal threat is sort of overhyping the guy. You don't need to be a universal threat to own Morgana or Strange. Call him incredibly powerful, sure, but a universal threat he ain't.
