    3 favourite MLF fights:
    1 - Havok & Psylocke vs Reaper.
2 - Rogue (with some help from Polaris) vs Dragonness.
    3 - Iceman vs Thumbelina & Slab.
[Guess which X trade I just bought?] :D

That noble sacrifice stuff sounds very out of character for the self-proclaimed "Chaos Bringer" and that mini must have gone under my radar. Did anyone read the Bishop/Gambit series in question? Was it any good or just another forgettable X-spinoff?
I read it, it wasn't bad. I quite enjoyed the redemptive aspect of Strfe's character.

Having said that I hope he returns to the X-books in the future. It is possible that something may be happening in recent issues of X-Force, with Warpath encountering the great bear which seems to be manipulate by someone (Stryfe?). Let's hope so. If Cyber can return from the dead by possessing someone else's body then so could Stryfe.

    Thumbs up

They should make some multiplayer, sprite based, sidescrolling X-Men game including a gazzillion characters where you get to beat up the MLF.

Dude, I second that!! It's one of the most funny events in comics to me. That was so hilarious and awesome!!

I also like the scene with Reaper vs. Quicksilver and Gambit. And any MLF events Peter David wrote, like when Slab met up with Thumbelina.

IMO, the Stryfe portrayed in SONS OF THE ATOM should not have been the same character. He certainly didn't act like it. Awesome as he is, Stryfe should stay dead.

Thumbelina is the best member of the MLF ever.

When I asked Chris Yost if he would ever use her, since she's the only chunky woman in X-History, he said:

"Why are you disrespecting Fat Karma?"

    PONG!

Fat Karma lost the weight, though!

Thumbelina has an inactive thyroid gland, an epidemic plaguing many women in America and a major contributer to the prevalence of obesity.

I think Thumby won that and you can tell that to this Christopher of yours!

Overdue thanks to Vanish for the memories. That scene was hilarious.

Gatecrasher from EXCALIBUR also certainly broke many stereotypes of comic book women, and she was far from skinny.

Stryfe is one of the few characters I know of who have committed so many atrocities they can't actually be shown in comics.

I like the MLF better than Stryfe. No idea why they don't use them more. It was nice having mutants, who were obviously wrong, that had a conflicting view to the X-Men.

say what ya say...i liked the legacy virus. It added suspension and real fear to the mutants of Marvel. I wish it was still around but being controlled like HIV or something...
    :o
Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.

The thing that people don't get is that the Legacy Virus wasn't supposed to be a subplot. It was supposed to be an addition to the status quo. There was no intention of curing it. It was devised as a parallel to AIDS or HIV. Every time anyone asked Scott Lobdell when the writers would have the Legacy Virus cured, he'd answer by asking "When will AIDS be cured?"

As for the MLF, I think they're a pretty good group. They were kind of X-Force's opposite number. It's true they didn't really do much in the way of evil acts, but the same can be said of the Brotherhood (the mutant terrorist group whose sole claim to fame is that they almost killed a Senator . . . twice ).

Stryfe is a great character i'm glad that he's coming back, hopefully they can make him a legit threat again after his character was basically ruined after the clone fiasco (What is it with Marvel and clones btw?). I'm 50/50 on the MLF, they had a couple of cool members but overall I wasn't that impressed with them or their powers.

And here I thought the major contributors were eating junk foods and laziness/inactivity.

I love the MLF, bring them back!

Reaper, Wildside, Dragoness, Forearm, Thumbelina, Zero, Tempo, Strobe... they were all cool. Don't know how I feel about Locus, Kamikaze, Slab, Sumo, Stryfe, Reignfire, or Feral, though...

A lot of those characters are still around! Reaper, Wildside are around but are not powered, as are Thumbelina and Forearm I think...

Tempo and Dragoness are still powered, and Zero was an android. I believe there could still be potential for an MLF!
