Default The Stryfe & MLF Appreciation Thread

Sure his helmet made it impossible for him to turn his head without hitting something, and sure unleashed to legacy virus, one of the longest lasting and silliest x-subplots ever, but we must accept his genius as the founder of the most feared group ever.....the Mutant Liberation Front!!!!

An equal opportunity employer, the Mutant Liberation Front deserves recognition of such fearful acts as.....umm well none come to mind, but any team featuring Thumbelina is a quality unit. Remember when Reaper got his hands chopped off? or when Forearm got his neck broke? Good times my friends good times....

Look at how fearsome they are!!!

    Yes he does

Of note....how come Cable doesn't display the same level of male pattern baldness these days as back when he and stryfe debuted?

My favourite moment was in an X-Factor when X-Factor had hold of Stryfe's legs, The MLF had hold of his head and they were playing Tug of War with him through one of Zero's portals.

Zero's portals were always such a point of comedy. Remember when Reaper got his foot chopped off?

Dude, I second that!! It's one of the most funny events in comics to me. That was so hilarious and awesome!!

I also like the scene with Reaper vs. Quicksilver and Gambit. And any MLF events Peter David wrote, like when Slab met up with Thumbelina.

IMO, the Stryfe portrayed in SONS OF THE ATOM should not have been the same character. He certainly didn't act like it. Awesome as he is, Stryfe should stay dead.

Ugh. I hated Stryfe and hope he never comes back. The evil twin/clone thing is sooooooo tired...even in X-lore.

As for the MLF the only few who were ever fleshed out that I liked were Tempo, Forearm (who's now dead), and Reaper (during Malibu's Exiles series; though he, along with Wildside, are both pretty much braindead since the recent Weapon X series).

Forearm showed back up in the latest X-force series.

Still, the MLF works better as canon fodder than characters.

Oh brother. Apparently so did Sumo and Zero, who were also both dead.

im not a big xmen fan. too much going on, the need to know 8 million years worth of nonsense. to many writer changes. so yeah im out of the loop.
Im familar with The Onlsaught Saga, the Fatal Attractions saga, a bit of the Bloodlines saga, the end game saga when apocalypse infect baby cable and all of the grant morrison era. I collected uncanny and xtreme xmen from 2001-2004 and then dropped it and i am currently only buying astonishing and dropping that after. question is was Xcutioners song worth it? or should i skip it since i really dislike xmen and dig spidey more?
