Default So, how long until the Presence and Vanguard come calling?

For the death of Darkstar, that is.

Sergei has never been the most understanding of fathers, and Vanguard has always had a rather short fuse.

I'm surprised nobody's followed up on this yet.

I'd love to see an issue of Excalibur in which a revamped Winter Guard, directed by the Presence and Starlight, attacks either the X-Men or Xavier and crew in Genosha.

    I forgot she was dead.

There'll be hell to pay when that giant bear comes a calling.

    Yes!

I've always really liked the Russian based characters, there's a whole community there which could be explored. I doubt today's comic book market could support such a title but I've always thought a comic revolving around Vanguard, Darkstar and Ursa Major, with the Presence and Starlight, as well as the folks in the People's Protectorate, could be great.

I hated hated hated the death of Darkstar. Utterly pointless. Although I guess we all got to see how badass Fantomex is. And didn't they get her name wrong in her funeral issue? I'd have to check. At least she got a funeral, I s'pose. But you're right, Matt, some follow-up would be appreciated. Have Vanguard or Ursa Major appeared anywhere else since that story?

Matt, you raise an excellent point and one that I think should be explored, but not just for Darkstar, but for others as well.

I remember during Casey's X-corp Arc, SunPyre died and not once did we see Sunfire having a go at the X-men or at least Banshee for letting her die in his service. The Same goes for Radious, poor guy was left buried alive, yet the heartless X-men never dug him out (easily retconned mind you), now I would expect at least a few of his Alpha Flight buddies or his sister and father to at least mention him once or show up asking about him.

So, what? she's alive? Did someone forget she was dead? Or did they just make someone named Sunpyre appear, that may or may not have been related to Sunfire what so ever

Nope, she was specifically identified as Leyu Yoshida.

So she's alive? Was that her name? I thought it was Mariko, or is that the Exiles version only?
