    Default Guy Gardner: Warrior

When Guy is fully amped is he the strongest DC hero? Superman believed he hit harder than Doomsday. Wonder Woman was in awe of his strength and fighting ability when fighting the Tormok. Fire comments to Blu Devil and Nuklon on how Guy is in a league of his own.

I have no Idea. Guy was turned Into the John Wayne of superheroes by Beau Smith and It lasted awhile In the DCU. Now he's back as the loveable jerk Guy Gardner. :)

He was not the strongest but he was able to give beings like Superman and other super-strong characters a run for their money.

Hitting harder than Doomsday and being able to single handedly graplle with Superman and Rampage at the same time pretty much puts him in a league of his own. In fact he was woning the League a few issues later until Wonder Woman calmed him down. When fighting the Tormock, even DIana was in awe of his strength and fighting skill. That is pretty high praise coming from her.

What, are you kidding? Superman takes out masses of cloned Doomsdays with heat vision now, his power levels have been considerably amped up since his death/ressurection. Think of it like Dragon Ball Z: Sure, you're more powerful than the last guy, but the heros just keep getting more powerful to match.

To be fair, Superman always says "I've never been hit so hard before!" whenever he gets into a fight. It's replaced "Up, up and away!" as his official motto.

I wouldn't count Rampage as big league , she is pretty useless. Eclipso (before his revamp) took her out in seconds back in the will payton starman series . Guy may be wailing on superman but superman wasn't really hurt , he regard Guy as an annoyance more than anything else.

Well Its all In the past now. Guy Isn't Warrior anymore , so John Wayne should be resting easy In his grave.

The Doomsday Clones were not perfect. They were not alive.

Batman: Darkseid has a scientist. His Megeia. This "Dr. Bedlam" makes a non-living thing called the animate. If they used Doomsday's DNA as a template...Why would Darkseid stage this attack, knowing his army was flawed? Unless...

Superman: Superhearing confirms no heartbeats. Microscopic Vision...animates!

He lets loose heat vision killing the imperfect clones. Diana comes over to him and Superman says, "I don't think I could do that twice." he is on his knees holding his head.

I don't know why the Doomsdays' lack of a heart would mean one thing or another. The original Doomsday had a distinct minimum of internal organs! He had no heart! He was primarily a brain and central nervous system. He had no blood, did not bleed, and if he was alive it was only an arbitrary distinction and label. From the notion of heart pumping and lungs breathing, Doomsday was never alive in the first place.

From the notion of synapses firing, it doesn't really matter since Superman stopped holding back anyway just before the point of his death.

Doomsday's origin as a clone descendent of a living baby doesn't mean too much, does it?

The point I was trying to make is that there is no way I'm going to accept that if Darkseid had been able to make perfect exact clones of DD and send them; Superman would not have been able to do that. There is no way Supes is that much more powerful than when he fough DD the first time.

I do believe he's stated that he's much more powerful than he was when he fought Doomsday several times. Even ignoring the irregularities of writers on his power level the Doomsday of back then wouldn't stand much of a chance against Superman now.

Thus "His punches are stronger than Doomsday's!" is a compliment, but not proof of ultimate power. LooseCannon seems to want Guy Gardner in warrior mode to be the most powerful being on Earth or something, but that's just not proven by the various storylines he was in.

I would agree that Supes now can take DD then but people try to make it seem as if Superman could take several if not dozens of DD of back then with no problem.

and my point is that story was crap.

As it is, when Superman was complimenting Guy he wasn't yet so powerful anyway that Doomsday couldn't kill him again if he came back.

Nowadays Superman could probably pulp Doomsday, but D-Day seems to have gotten weaker, Superman HAS gotten so much more uber-powerful, and Kal-El was using hyperbole to describe Gardner's impact.
