I disagree with what people are saying here about Uncanny. I think it's a great book. Fraction injects some FUN into the X-men which is long overdue. In the past I could never read the X-books (except for Peter David's X-factor) because they were too angsty and took themselves way way way too seriously. Fraction strikes a great balance and shows great love for the characters.

If you want to give it a try I'd say now is the time to jump on because he's still building the foundations of what looks to be a really big story.

One of my favorite things about the new run is that the team roster this time includes: EVERYONE! Any mutant might show up at any time and Fraction has already had the A-listers and the D-listers side by side in a couple issues.

We haven't gotten closure on any of the plots he's setting up, so it may be too early to ring all the bells and whistles, but I like what I'm seeing so far.

Thanks a bunch.
The original Chris Claremont/Frank Miller "Wolverine" mini from 82? 83?

Never surpassed in terms of absolute quality.

I really, really hope that this is what Fraction is doing (ie. setting everything up for a big story). Right now Uncanny is really boring and I would hate for it to be anti-climatic. If it weren't for Dodson's art, I'd probably be taking a rest with the current arc.

Im only buying it because of the title. If it was any other book, i'd have dropped it.

I'm ready to dip into the X-verse. I've added Uncanny, Legacy, and X-Force to my pull list.

I'm interested to know if X-Factor is worth picking up. And, if so, with which issue should I start?

X-factor is great and i would start with the Madrox mini series that kick started things.

First read Messiah Complex and if you are interested in following the Cable/Bishop/Messiah Baby story, then you should read it.

X-Force is only at issue 13 right now, and it's the best book featuring Wolverine.

Well the art is lovely, but the story has been dragging a bit largely i think because there are big plans for Cable when he gets to the end of this story.

Yes. Especially if you are canny enough to know that Wolverine on his own is pretty boring, and thus needs to be made interesting through use of fantastic blonde cameos.

There are two TPBs out there at the moment, if I recall, and both are good. The second one is slightly better, however.
