I went with Rucka because Ennis is clearly going to win this poll.
    Buy The Punisher

I liked Frank Millers version of The Punisher the best, but Miller wasnt an option as he wrote Punisher as a side character in Spider-Man & Daredevil.

Of course I voted Garth Ennis. Marvel drove Punisher into the ground, and Ennis came in and revitalized him completely.

They should just take Ennis out of the poll so the others get a fair shake.
    The Massive . Captain Marvel . Superior Foes of Spider-Man . B.P.R.D.

I haven't read Baron, Aaron or Fraction yet, all seminal or at least well-acclaimed writers, so I'm not voting.

But c'mon. Ennis had him punch a bear in the face.

Ennis is probably the best/most defining.. Rucka is my favorite though.

Ennis, easily. He did some of the best writing of his career on that character.

I think Remender had a fantastic run on Punisher. And a lot of that was just how different it was from Ennis.

    Still, Ennis.

I enjoyed Remender's run as well. A lot of it was bizarre, but he made it work.

    Easily Garth Ennis.

I think Mike Baron was a very underrated Punisher writer, though. People tend to forget how good he was with the character.

I agree with Baron. That first initial run with Klaus Janson was great.

    Ennis.

The MK stuff is absolutely redefining of the character. The Max run was even better. He made Frank more than just a gun with a pulse.
