    Default REVIEW: The Punisher, #1

Frank Castle has set up shop in Los Angeles in "The Punisher" #1 by Nathan Edmondson and Mitch Gerads, where both the scenery and his disposition are a little brighter, but his war on crime still yields a high body count.

Haven't read it yet but this did look pretty good and I bought it. I liked the line about criminals not fearing the Avengers like they do him (though I suppose that could be because Thor doesn't take on the mob very often..). Is this book going to be $3.99 for future issues as well?

This issue was great, I can't find any faults in it.

For those who thought Rucka's time on the character was a little too dark, Edmondson shines a little bit of light into Castle's life...

Dang! I didn't see this was out when I was at the store. I hope I can get it when I go back.

As an aside, are we ever going to learn how Frank got out of that prison at the bottom of a lake?

    Alas, poor Danny.

Loved the look on that thugs face when Castle brought out the Rocket Launcher/Bazooka thingy.

This looks like its gonna be the best Punisher series in years.

    Really solid stuff.

Rucka's take was the one I finally understood (after much trial and error), it was the perfect amount of dark for me. I wish these guys luck, I will watch and wait though.

I really liked this book! Pleasantly surprised as a long term Punisher fan. The move to L.A. Is refreshing.
