I'm very excited for this series, but I don't understand what this Millarverse thing is about. Is this the first book of Millarverse? Or have there been others?

Also, I thought I read somewhere that this is just an 8-book miniseries. Is that yall's understanding as well?

As cool as this looks I don't know if I want to start reading a book that will likely come out only 3 times this year , like Jupiters Legacy did last year.

I agree 100%. I was loving. Jupiters legacy and then it drops off the radar? Keep you current series going before starting a new one.
