Why not let Panabaker play Iris?

Following the other WB comic book shows, are they not going to call him "The Flash?" Clark Kent already took "The Blur" .... will they call him "The Streak?" "Fastman?" "Go-Guy?" "The Speedster?" It's certainly a good sign that the show is called "The Flash." Hopefully they've gotten over thinking the classic code-names are silly.

They've already said on several different occasions that Barry WILL be called "The Flash" and that he WILL have his "classic" costume from the comic books.

Wow! I was just thinking that Rick Cosnett would have made a great Barry Allen after seeing him on Vampire Diaries!

So, Professor Zoom and Killer Frost, cool. For some reason, the thought of Danielle Panabaker possibly playing a psychotic villain is interesting to me.

Ah so they're using the classic Zoom but combining him with the second Zoom from Johns' run, sounds like.

Because nobody but angry racists care that Iris is black.

The guy playing Thawne is very handsome, but this is the CW we're talking about, and I've always liked Panabaker. Hopefully, this pilot gets picked up.

Looks like you care. Does that make you an "angry racist?"

No, I really don't. It's fine that they made her black and it's silly that in 2014 people still get upset at this.

These are both pretty cool choices.

Here's to hoping that this show eventually goes all in with time-travel and alternate timelines. Introduce it slowly and provide good explanations and I think the regular audience could get into it.
    Don't call me Clark.

Well KurtW95's been bitching about black Nick Fury since 2001, so I think we can safely count on him being upset about this at least into the 2020's.
My favorite character can beat up your favorite character.

I'll have you know I have also been "bitching" about white Bane and Ra's al Ghul since those movies came out. And the casting of Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.

I don't know how well this will do with Johns involved. His bad comics writing usually translates into bad live action.

So is his Flash a spinoff of Arrow or Smallville?
