Not to rain on the Ms. Marvel parade...but we know skadoosh is dialogue. It's Jack Black's catchphrase as Po in the Kung Fu Panda movies.

And hasn't the D&D "+5 for" thing been done to death since the first volume of Scott Pilgrim (if not before)?

Don't get me wrong...I hope Ms. Marvel is a success, particularly since it's attempting to break cultural norms. But this blatant recycling doesn't sound like much to get excited for.

    Teenagers make pop culture references.

    Who knew?
Currently reading She-Hulk, Deadpool, Swamp Thing, Ms. Marvel

Probation: Ghost Rider, Loki: LoA, Secret Avengers

Looking forward to All-New Ultimates, Flash Gordon and Doctor Mirage.

The new "Ms. Marvel" is horrendously annoying. I thought Marvel couldn't create a more obnoxious kid than Sam Alexander, but boy was I wrong. Can't wrap my head around how this thing got a solo when Dr. Strange and the like are still out in limbo.

It was only one panel but it was nice to see what looked like Yondu or some other Centaurian that looks like him :)

Black Widow is the only one of these titles I'm at all looking forward to, which makes a $6 preview issue an easy skip.

Do professional movies, TV, music, sports, theater reviewers cite the price in their reviews? When is CBR going to do this amateur shit and get it right? Life cost money. Leave out price. It isn't story or art related.

Dan Slott is my favourite current Marvel writer... has been since his She-Hulk and Thing runs, but I was not impressed with the Silver Surfer story. I dunno, maybe it was the Allred art (yes, I am not a big fan of his, sacrilege I know), but it really felt like he was trying to channel Matt Fraction here. That's not a good thing.
