That was tough between "Twenty-Seven" and "Gothtopia", but Snyder won just barely.

Snyder/Murphy, but overall, the whole issue was pretty solid.

    This is a conundrum.

The art in the Tomasi 75th birthday was insanely cool.
    Snyder's story was really good.
The art in Hurrwitz and Adam's story - that kind of thing puts a huge grin on my face and always serves to validate eras of Batman.

Really it was full of win.

Haven't finished yet but so far my favorite moment is "Don't they know what I've been through?"

    Loved the first story alot.

Twenty-Seven was miles better than anything, yet everything was fantastic!

    Twenty Seven for me.

Worst (bust still good) story was the "Crime Syndicate" retelling. The narration got old by the third box, yet the "I do it"'s plague the whole story. Also, taking off points because Batman didn't say "a fitting end for his kind".

Who were the people voting for the Miller cover?

Seriously, why was that even an option?
The "Son of Batman" movie reminded me of the first reason I hated Grant Morrison's Batman run: Talia raped Batman and got away with it.

Seriously. Of all the things to possibly change, that should not have been one of them.

People who like Miller's art? Why is that even a question?

I agree. If the cover was going to be an option, than all of the variants should have been listed - or at least both "regular" covers.

There's a limit to the number of poll choices possible, and Miller's was the only cover with any real buzz or controversy attached to it. Most of the other covers were generic pieces of fluff that you can find 50 of on any given month. Batman family jumping/swinging towards camera in textbook poses -- yay. Batman punching someone -- wheeeee. For better or worse, Miller's cover was at least noteworthy.

The controversy (and thread about it and the recent Miller thread) are very entertaining

    Noteworthy for being the ugliest.

You make a good point about poll options - which is why they shouldn't have even made this an option.

More than 40 people disagree. And if anyone honestly felt one of the other covers was worth voting as being the best part of the issue, they are free to post and say so. I've yet to see that happen. I don't think it will. Although having said that, maybe some contrarian will oblige.

You're looking at one of them . I hope they make it a poster next. It is actual pop Art!

Twenty-Seven was far and away the second best thing about the issue - a story that will be remembered long from now and and even more remarkable that it's only a short.
