I sure hope Aaron has a plausible method for which the Watcher was dispatched that prevented him from just coming back from the dead.
Currently reading She-Hulk, Deadpool, Swamp Thing, Ms. Marvel

Probation: Ghost Rider, Loki: LoA, Secret Avengers

Looking forward to All-New Ultimates, Flash Gordon and Doctor Mirage.

Eh... on paper I can't say this sounds terribly exciting. Interesting... but not exciting.

    But we'll see.

so i have no idea who the murderer would be, but isn't uatu the one who "woke up" galactus? i'm guessing that would be considered the original sin

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I am interested in the story but not excited.

If this is half as good as the cosmic murder mystery on a grand scale that was the Godbomb/God Butcher story in Thor, we should be in good hands

    That was a diffrent Watcher.

I wonder if the villain might not be old rogue Watcher, Aron?

He was Uatu's nephew and was last seen being tyrned to energy by his uncle.

I'll pick this up for Nick Fury being front and centre. I like the idea of Nuck Fury: PI. Like Columbo without the glass eye

I like the idea of Nick Fury, master of secrets and spies, solving the biggest secret of all: who killed the biggest secretkeeper of the Marvel Universe.....

I love that this is going to be a murder mystery rather than a "vs." type of event. Not that those aren't fun but it's nice to see something more atypical and, hopefully, surprising. I think it sounds terrific myself and if it's anywhere near as good as "Godbomb" it's going to knock people on their ass and with Infinity being as excellent as it was, I'm feel pretty confident in Marvel's ability to deliver a solid event. Right off the bat, I love the concept and the creative team for this so consider me very excited for Original Sin.

That's a hell of a pitch for a mystery, and an event.

Here's hoping this one lives up to the hype, because Aaron's past two events have kind of stalled in their execution.

This sounds an awful lot like the beginning of Identity Crisis. Let's hope that this doesn't create a darker, grittier Marvel universe, and lets hope the killer didn't rape the Watcher before he killed him.

Yeah, I think this sounds pretty cool too. And I notice that Wolverine is sporting his new costume in that preview page as well, which means he's sans powers. Something we haven't seen reflected in any of the other Marvel Universe or Avengers books yet, so that should be kind of interesting. At least IMO.

Can you imagine how big one would have to be to rape The Watcher!?
