Interesting casting choice. I don't think Paul has ever been in anything even remotely related to an action flick that has him in the lead. From his past work though I could see him pulling off Hank Pym.

He's going to be great. And I just realized Marvel has the opportunity to do something special with a trilogy:

    Ant-Man 1: Hank Pym
    Ant-Man 2: Scott Lang
    Ant-Man 3: Eric O'Grady

...and stars from previous movies could appear in the sequels in various guises, such as Giant-Man & Yellowjacket.

    You know how I know you're gay? You're Ant-Man.

This is the most inspired casting for a superhero lead since Robert Downey Jr.

Offbeat and perfect. Really stoked for this flick.

I'll believe there's an Ant-Man movie when I'm watching the end credits of said movie scroll across the screen. And not a second sooner. It's closing in on a decade.

He looks nothing like Hank Pym...I guess that doesn't matter anymore, though.

Seems like they are taking a more comedic approach to what is a pretty complicated character. I guess we'll see. Marvel has earned my trust so far.

I think I'd rather watch that than the wife-beater super hero who accidentally makes 1 of the bigger super villains.

No, that's actually a fairly good synopsis of the character.

So will we be seeing the origin of the character as done by Waid? Although, I wonder which Ant Man will come first, and How much do you want to bet that we're going to at least see a nod to Ant-man in Age of Ultron, either as Paul Rudd showing up as either Pym or at least the tech for it. Should be interesting if it is Pym, although given the test footage with the whole steal something it might be Lang. Not sure about O'grady, but I'd be up for him too. Wonder if they go with Hank will Janet be involved?

Kinda an odd choice but Ill give it a chance.

Guess the only question left is, Is Paul Rudd gonna have to slap a b!tch?
Just say no to lame Ultimate replacement characters.
