Interesting. I love reading about the behind-the-scenes stuff.
I always wondered how come that some writers suddenly start to stink, when working under big two.
I do believe that there is something bad going on at the offices.

Stuff like that has been going on for years. Probably since the beginning of the written word.

That said, still sucks when it scares writers away from the medium.

"Someone at Marvel changed my captions, added weak jokes, repeated captions, deleted captions from panels that needed them, and inserted one caption that contradicts the theme,"
I never liked Spider-man (i like his villains better) because of his endless stream of stupid jokes and now we have PROOF! That some of this silliness is put there by the big wigs because this must be so. I bet you it was Evil Joe Q because he is that evil.

And in every written medium where there's even a hint of a collaborative process.

So this entire Amazing Spidey 'Point Wev' event is just Marvel burning off an inventory story that's been sitting on the shelf for the better part of a decade?
    Wow. Classy.

Good for him for speaking up. Marvel gets off a little light on their various muck-ups. The inconsistencies of Age of Ultron, the mishandling of Fraction's Fantastic Four run, the cancellation of their titles: it always gets boiled down to "we meant to do that". When in truth, they are just as guilty of throwing things to the wall as detractors of DC like to shout. This is a welcome revelation.

Seriously. Marvel should've printed this story as a graphic novel instead of the silliness that is .1 and .2 numbering.

Well, apparently quite a bit of people did buy it under false pretenses, thinking it was some kind of prelude to Peter's return.
