Default Duggan Unleashes "Deadpool" on Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Deadpool" co-writer Gerry Duggan talks about pitting the pissed-off title character against a faction of S.H.I.E.L.D that's targeted him for elimination.

Yeah, the aggressor sets the tone here. If it were up to Deadpool, he'd be on a beach somewhere trying to wrap his mind around his losses. Unfortunately, Gorman will not let that happen. But he may find that he's bitten off more than he can chew by going after Deadpool in his current mindset.
    Dis gon be gud.

I loved how they worked a bit "#1" on the cover. Very clever.

$10 says that the upc barcode is missing on the NOW cover because the price is now 3.99.

Eh, I'd say it's about 50/50 you're right. Long as they keep the quality up, though . . . I'd say this book has been better than most $3.99 titles. And they're actually DOING something with the character.

Of course. It had become allarmingly common to use it as the standard evil spy agency. But to be honest...

..it had always been that way. Since it first appeared in comics was one day yes and one day not that Nick Fury had to fight his own agency, ending rebuilding it from the ground..to the very point he essentially highjacked a lot of resource for his personal use, since he can't trust no one at SHIELD anyway. So yeah, half complete incomptence and half complete evil. All SHIELD.

The prececedentt for being so completely incompetent tends to get them portrayed that way often. How anyone lets a organization where rouge factions are seemingly as numerous as real agents survive is a mystery

And iit is not like they are normally portrayed as straight up good guys, at least for a few decades.

SHIELD is basically a poster child for "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". I'm actually surprised they haven't tried to recruit Deadpool- compared to most of their agents he's practically a rational human being.

Well shield stiffed deadpool on his pay for the last job he did for them.

Wonder if he will swipe some credit cards like the last time someone refused to pay him..

It's always nice to see DP on x-boards :3
No matter what anyone says, I do consider DP a honorary X-Man.
And at this point I don't think I have to say that this book is a success both commercially and artistically?
