Great interview. Fantastic book! One of the best of 2013. Can't wait for the second half.

absolutely. Book is a smart, top-grade product. Really feels like a "mature" book, and "mature" in the real sense of the word, not blood and guts and sex.

Excellent book. I kind of wish it was an ongoing.

I don't know, much like Young Avengers and a bunch of other series, I'm kind-of glad that some writers set out to tell just one story and that's it. Snyder always works best, to me, when he has a clear game plan - he appears to have one with American Vampire and he easily has one here, and to me, that makes it much stronger than his Batman work; I like what he's doing there, but the ongoing nature makes it feel a bit lackluster, to me. This doesn't have that problem.
