Which Comic Publisher's Output in 2013 Were You Most Thankful For?

The turkey and stuffing have been turned into leftovers, but CBR has one final Thanksgiving question - which comic book publisher's output were you most thankful for in 2013?

    Vote on the poll here.

There was good stuff from a lot of different sources, but more than any else, it had to be Image.

Yep definitely SelfMadeHero and Humanoids for me.... but since those aren't choices here I'm going with Drawn & Quarterly, because I loved The Property, Marble Season, Rage of Poseidon and Letting It Go. I think those are some of the best books this year.

While I'm not a fan of E-I-C Axel Alonso's love for an Indie-type of feel, he has done a great job with their line overall. Producing books that are both pleasing to look at (especially if you're into the Indies) and read for different levels of readers from new ones to the ones who can't get enough of the cinematic and comics synergy.

Marvel has done a great job with tapping into the mainstream while not turning away readers of who enjoy their classic characters. Not wholly rebooting and still being able to steadily provide jumping-on points and keeping continuity intact has proved to be very rewarding for their fanbase. I for one, as a longtime Marvel reader, respect that philosophy to the fullest.

Thank you Marvel for providing me with 30 years of marvelous enjoyment.
Marvel : Moon Knight, Savage Hulk (6/25), Original Sin (5/7)

DC : Aquaman, Aquaman & the Others

    Marvel

Image did well but they have a lot I don't care about while there's an awful lot I like from Marvel.

I really like Dynamite's titles. They have an incredible catalog of popular heroes (Shadow, Green Hornet, Tarzan, Vampirella, Red Sonja... plus Codename: Action, Red Team, Jennifer Blood

Likely Image. They had all the buzz worthy books this year.

    Vertigo.

Astro City returns. Trillium. The Wake. Sandman Overture. Hinterkind. Coffin Hill. FBP. With Fables/Fairest and The Unwritten still going strong. Plus American Vampire one-shots. And still looking forward to Dead Boy Detectives.
Currently reading far too many comics to list (mostly DC/Vertigo), despite the best hope of my parents that I'd outgrow comics by the time I turned 50.

Dynamite's pulp line has been spectacular. Sadly, it's also sold for shit.

Both Marvel and DC have continued to disappoint this year. I'm now reading less of their books than I've ever read before.

Most of my reading has now shifted to Image, although Dark Horse are producing some great books as well. But Image gets my vote. So many great books right now.
