Don't be silly. If you're GOING to go with how it would be booked in the early 80s (rather than a Hardcore match in the 90s), tell it like it is. Cactus Jack would beat the crap out of Hogan, then Hogan would start waggling his finger, no sell a chairshot or two and hit the Big Boot-Leg Drop Combo.
Come on!! You blew a classic Hogan ending joke for a "beat up Mick Foley" punchline?
So likewise, if Undertaker has Ringlifting TK, he should have that regardless of how his past fights with Warrior went?in a comic if character 1 lifts a building that is his strength level regardless of what happens when he hits character b
And how is that different from a comic character being written with super toughness?in wrestling character a can get hit with a chair (for real) all day and sell it like he's getting hurt but in real life he's not hurt badly at all, while character b can be hit with a chair lightly and no sell it because he's huking up or shaking the ropes or whatever so his damage soak is higher... BECAUSE ITS WRITTEN THAT WAY.
FEATS!! What has Hogan taken while "Hulking up"? The worst I remember is ONE chair shot from Slaughter. So in real life Mick foley might be able to take a beating all day with no ill effect over Terry, but in character Hulk Hogans hulking out is some of the best damage soak in the universe.
Mick foley (esp. Mankind) considers that a "polite hello".
He once fought a guy with a CHAINSAW in the Royal Rumble.
