Default REVIEW: The Walking Dead, #116

With part two of "All Out War," the story lives up to its title, as Rick's alliance takes the fight to Negan and chaos ensues.

Decent issue. 4 stars seems about right for any normal issue of TWD. Kirkman has seemed to lose a bit of his mojo with the Negan storyline, as even though I like Negan mor than the Governor, this plot has been done before. The title has really turned from a small band of survivors against an unbeatable threat into a game of Civilization. That in itself is not a bad thing, but it definitely changes the character of the book

Yeah, the book has morphed over its lifespan, though I don't think that's a bad thing. It's always been about the survivors and it's natural that they'd move from being people just hoping to get by to people hoping to rebuild and create a new future. This, of course, leads to lots of great conflict.

Kirkman laid off the zombies for a while, but he's back to using them with this issue. Will we see more zombie action now that that dam has been broken? We'll see. Might be fun to have those guys around for awhile again.
