Let's hope they respect the source material when casting FF.

So, "no black human torch" is what you're saying?

Not so much "no black human torch" as much as "let's keep the family dynamic", imho. Now if they want to make Sue Storm black, too, I say go for it.

I think key to the movies success is to make it 'The FANTASTIC Four', not 'The MEH Four'

I don't believe Fox has the imagination, daring or interest in making this a unique adventure that pushes the boundaries of modern cinema. Their only purpose is merchandising.

2015? In a summer that will also have the Superman/Batman movie? Good luck.

I find myself kind of wishing that the FF movie doesn't get off the ground so we can have the rights revert back to Marvel/Disney. I've no doubt that they would be able to craft a killer FF movie.

That's what I'm saying. They race-swap any main marvel character to pander to the idiots and it's a skip for me!

And a little film called "Avengers: Age of Ultron" too.

I had some hope that Fox would step up their game after X-Men: First Class turned out quite good despite everything it had going against it. Days of Future Past looks far better than I was expecting when it seemed like they were cramming every mutant under the sun into it, but everything I've heard about FF so far has...not been promising. It truly seems like they're shooting for a teenage demographic if the casting rumors are to be believed.

If Faux does get this off the ground, I'll be sure to go see Avengers 2 for the second or third time on FF's opening weekend.

That just sounds like spite to me. And do people forget that Marvel actually gave Fox an extension on the rights to Fantastic Four for the rights to Daredevil? That doesn't exactly scream "We want F4 back to make movies anytime soon" to me. Maybe Marvel actually would rather see F4 do well.

It's already too late. Marvel has to eat sometime, they really need it.
