    Variants and a highly publicized 10th Anniversary storyline send "Walking Dead" over 310K in sales while four more titles broke the 100K line.

    These numbers really mean very little with all the variant covers being produced.

    A variant cover doesn't really cost the publisher anything to produce, and it can double sales. I don't like variant covers myself, but they are profitable, so in a discussion of sales they don't really take anything away from the accomplishment of selling a ton of comics.

    Ummmmmm...why? Diamond only counts them as the same issue if they have the same cover price. If someone wants to pay $2.99 for 1 read and 7 pieces of cover art of the same story why shouldn't that count?

    I'm still enjoying Judge Dredd and Mocking Dead. It looks like not many others are though. I wonder what the magic number is before IDW and Dynamite pull the plugs?
