"Girls" actor Adam Driver is reportedly up for the part of Nightwing in the "Man of Steel" sequel, though Warner Bros. has not commented.

I for one wouldn't mind if he gets the part. I love him in girls and think he's a fantastic actor. The fact that Batfleck is supposed to be older means that you can have these characters already established, and if the rumor about Affleck directing a future Batman movie and Justice League movie are true, you can have Nightwing show up in a small role and expand on him in future movies.

    That's one ugly dude!

I could see him as Doctor Strange, though.

I don't want to sound rude for judging someone by their appearance, but Nightwing is supposed to be a 'ladies man'. This guy is no looker for most Nightwing fangirls.

Funny thing is, I see Dick Grayson as looking like Christian Bale.

Lol, oh WB, I know you're trying this time by auditioning some actors who can at least act, but looks should play at least some role, too.

I have a hard time picturing this guy as the superhero every woman wants to have sex with.

    You hear that sound?

It's the sound of a thousand fangirls' hearts shattering.

Saw this reaction on CBM and chuckled:

"You know the casting choice is terrible when you don't even realize that the real reason you should be mad is because they're actually putting Nightwing in the movie"
Now, while acting ability should always be #1 when casting, I can understand why the fan base may be upset at this unlikely casting choice (no credible sources anywhere). I can also understand why WB might cast a somewhat less traditionally attractive actor so as to not compete with their more traditionally handsome lead(s).

This thread is funny for two reasons.

    A) Dude is indeed fugly.
    B) Fugly dude is well known for having ridiculous amounts of fangirls, mostly for Girls and his other artistic endevours. Like a Mini-Cumberbatch. So people saying that women wouldn't be into him... obviously don't know the effect a skinny hipster with crazy ideas has on the female 20 something population.
...And does Mr. Goddanm Batman says so much as ''Thanks''? OF COURSE not. That'd hardly be GRIM AND GRITTY, would it?

    The jerk...

I'm no pretty face in the crowd either, but yeesh. I guess this Dick Grayson was in the circus freak show instead of the trapeze act.
The "Son of Batman" movie reminded me of the first reason I hated Grant Morrison's Batman run: Talia raped Batman and got away with it.

Exactly. He's a funny-looking dude. But he also has tons of fangirls.

I don't really see him as Dick, but if he's cast he'll actually bring some women in.
