Yet another round of gimmicks for DC. But I'm actually down for this one. I love the steampunk look and steampunk superheroes are always cool.

Is there a difference between Steampunk and Clockwork? Because when I see all the gears, usually associated with Steampunk, I typically think the latter.

Anyways, this should be cool for the Steampunk fans, I guess. Wake me if/when they decide to do Dieselpunk variants...

Yeah. Themes like this are much better as a gimmick compared to something like the Scribblenauts ones. Not to mention, a theme is just that.

Now we're going to get tons of posts of people complaining about DC's latest gimmick. Despite the fact that variant covers are nothing new to comics. But hey, any chance to complain about anything DC does, right?

The Jokers daughter doesn't look half bad in that getup. Or at least her top half doesn't, she really should wear pants though.

Isn't the Joker's Daughter. It's Duela Dent from Ane-Comi Girls.

It's variant covers, if you don't want them don't get them. This is hardly a gimmick, unless you are looking for a reason to complain about DC.

My mistake, either way she should have pants. How can one fight in that?

What's steampunk? I am not hip.

Edit: New idea, read the article, maybe answer my own question.

    Still at the glue factory.
Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Also, Phil Foglio's GIRL GENIUS has a good infusion of steampunky goodness, along with a few Hugos....
