What makes Scooby Doo strong after more than 40 years? The same thing that all the great Hanna Barbera cartoons do: they treat kids as a bit smarter than they're expected to, give nods and winks to the parents, and present an enthusiasm for the situation that superheroes haven't seen since 1966 TV Batman or the Superfriends.
Yes, friends. There is a place for camp. And these cartoons have a large space for it.
My only disappointment is that these won't get the exposure they deserve. Honestly, kids today need to be exposed to more cartoons like these. They aren't really violent, they are a lot of fun — and they encourage a sense of enjoyment instead of cynicism.
It's one of those x-degrees of separation situations, where now Batman & Ace have met Scooby & Gang, Scooby & Gang have met Blue Falcon & Dynomut, , but Blue Falcon & Dynomut have never met Batman & Ace.
This is where they can all exist in the same U, and need to meet!
Any plans to do an animated series? That would absolutely rock!
DC isn't having a lot of luck with animated series at the moment but I would so go for an animated movie on DVD.

It's strange but not surprising to me. I didn't think New52 was very inventive even in concept let alone in how it was executed. It seemed to be off-putting for many long time readers whereas the variety in the outside titles seems to offer something for everyone.
Here Here! The enjoyment keeps on ticking. Not really that big of a DC fan, but this news brought me here with bells on.
it's a shame that so many of the HB voice cast is no longer with us, so bring on the comics. There are compotent writers out there that get the humor (the recent scooby movies speak to this, even if Mystery Incorporated clearly didn't) It be really awesome if they had a few issues with Scooby teaming with other HB characters too. If anyone hasn't seen the opening credits for Scooby Doo Mask of the Blue Falcon, you need to watch it on youtube NOW. Scooby and the Gang get chased by classic scooby monsters and the HB superheros come to the rescue in comic book form. It's as awesome as it sounds (bonus points they included the troll and dryad costumes Joker and Penguin wore in that New Scooby Movies episode for a comic fans wink)
Either way seeing some more Scooby and Batman team ups is gonna be fun. But again that is the point people have always loved Scooby Doo and his HB brothers and sisters. And it's great to see WB respecting that love by slowly churning out the library on DVD. And now the DC section is giving us a real comic treat. It just keeps getting better.
