Please kick the humor down a notch. Every movie doesn't need rapid-fire jokes and gags to be entertaining.

That's my biggest fear really as both IM3 and TTDW had pretty serious and somber looking trailers. IM3 tried too hard to be funny at times, and I hear Thor gets pretty silly as well, which is a bit of a disappointment really.

I'm kind of concerned about Guardians now. Marvel can have a lighter touch, but it feels like they're going too light. Maybe it IS time to get Fiege out of drivers seat.

    Okay this film looks badass.

Captain America, BW, Fury, Falcon and Winter Soldier all look awesome. Can't wait.

Also is that Fury in the hospital at 1:02? Probably from that bomb Winter Soldier threw at the van.

As long as it's not Falcon, I'm good.

According to directors Anthony and Joe Russo, in bringing the hero into the current timeline of the Marvel-verse, they looked back on '70s thrillers like "Three Days Of The Condor" as the vibe they were trying to bring to their first superhero and tentpole outing.

I don't think they'd punk Falcon like that in his first movie appearance (he isn't appearing in Avengers by the way)

Steve Rogers: You ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of death?
James Barnes: Hell, no! The little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him."

Looks good. I like how--between the Avengers and this--they seem to be incrementally building Cap into the modern day idealist he's always been in the comics. When I heard he'd be working for SHIELD I was worried that he'd literally just be a "super soldier" following orders like he was trained to do, but from the trailer we can see more of the guy we're used to asserting himself.

For some reason the version on iTunes isn't operational. But you can see the UK edition of the trailer here: http://www.newsarama.com/19376-capta...r-trailer.html

I like the earnestness in Evans's portrayal of Cap. I know other people don't like him much in the role but that's something I really appreciate from his performance.

One thing I actually like is how little this feels like a superhero film. It feels smaller than what we've gotten so far, less cosmic/super-science shenanigans, but it feels grander than an MI or Bourne film.

I've liked Evans since Cellular, sure he did one or two dumb comedy movies, but the man could act long before the Avengers movie. He looks god in this film. I wasn't crazy about his Captain America performance in the first movie. Avengers he was fine given all the other performances and writing.
