Seriously, the Wasp is right there and they can't be bothered to mention her at all in the press release.

Also, who the frack wants to see the Avengers team up with kids?

Also their are definitely better and more consistent animation studios than Toei.

    .................................................. .........

well i was wanting to see thor in a anime series / movie, but this sounds way to kiddy, and the animation will surely not be the quality of the previous madhouse movies.

and with them now making this deal with toei, it makes it all the more likely there wont be any further madhouse series / films, which is EXTREMELY pissing me off

    Frickin' Disney overlords.

But if this is a success it may replace Avengers Assemble stateside. I have a STRONG suspicion that AA won't get more than a full season's run with this announcement.

I'm excited to see this :D
Thank god comic fans are such a tiny little percentage of the audience needed for a successful film because apparently we not only hate fucking everything, we're willing to even pre-hate things...

...this is completely different from that. This is aimed at the Beyblade, Digimon, Yugioh market in Japan which is why it's about shounen (young males) teaming up with the Avengers. Little kids like that stuff in Japan.

Well, at least Loeb isn't involved in this one.

Where are the diverse heroes in this? It's the same Caucasian heroes all over again (Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wasp).
Storm and The Black Panther, T'Challa and Ororo

It's foolish to hate characters for actions that are controlled by writers.

If you don't like a character's behavior, blame the writer.

Considering the demographic this is geared towards, I'm not particularly surprised that there is a lack of color. The last time I remember seeing a black character in an anime that wasn't produced by Marvel was when I watched Durarara, and I have watched a lot of anime in that time.

Wait, not entirely true. There was a black guy in Hunter X Hunter.

Black lagoon, Naruto, Bleach, One piece, Air Gear all have prominent black characters.
Junk head. Amazing stop-motion animation. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/junk-head-2--2

Black Lagoon, years old. Naruto only really has two prominent black characters, Killer B and the Raikage, both only introduced in the past few years. Bleach, haven't touched that in years. Air Gear ended years ago. One Piece, never got into it.

Good lord, look at Cap's costume: hey have way over-armored him. It sorta looks like that exoskeleton suit he wore back in the 90s when he was having problems with the SSS.

And I know Iron Man is the most popular b/c of the movie character, but part of me dislikes how he seems to always be front and center as the leader, mainly because I grew up with Cap serving as the field leader in almost every Avengers comic I read.
