ANIMAL MAN needs a change in creative really bad. Lemire is phoning it in and he's phoning in the most grimly dull shite.
You know, I know he can be odd and I find him really hard to agree with much of the time but I would love to see what Moore would have done with the concept of the Red which really is based off his Green concept. For me, I think that's the hook of the book for me. I sure it would never happen but its difficult to care what a family is going through when you stop caring about that family.
I hope it won't get canceled, love the title. To me, it's the second best animal run (at least for now), second only to Morrison's (which was one of my favorite runs ever)
I understand people not liking the dark tone of the book, and that's ok. For me it remains one of the best books of the nu52. Rotworld went on waaaaayyyy too long, to the point of me almost dropping the book, but it has rebounded nicely.
We don't see too many books that focus on the the personal life of the superhero. I'm far more interested that than I am in traditional superheroics. I strongly disagree with the earlier poster that suggested Lemire is "phoning it in" on this title. It is very deftly written.
If you're not reading Unwritten you should be.
I hope it doesn't get cancelled before you-know-who comes back from you-know-what...
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
Ill keep pulling the book for as long as Lemire writes it and perhaps longer should another interesting creative talent take over in the future.
Heck. Im much more interested in AM than most justice league members...

Anyway, I really wanted to jump on at the end of Rotworld. I liked the celeb thing, but finances restricted me, and I kinda just planned to trade-wait Lemire's run anyway.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.
