I like him, but Rocket needs to have a Cockney accent.

he has the accent in UMVC3 which has most the VAs from EMH in it.

I do, too. I was actually hoping for Sharlto Copley to play Rocket Raccoon. Right movie, wrong actor. Still looking forward to Bradley Cooper.

Tell it to Pixar and Disney, who keep enlisting A-list talent to voice their otherwise-unknown characters.

Clearly, there's a public that DOES watch movies for the voice-overs.

Plus, since GotG isn't actually an animated movie per se, there's always the chance that some people will see Cooper's name in the promos and buy tickets thinking that he is physically in the movie.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If he's going to have a British accent, it's Liverpudlian. Because his name is a riff on a Beatles song. Except nowhere in the books does it say that the genetically engineered space raccoon has a British accent.

They just kind of ran with the cockney accent recently. I don't get it personally, I always read him as having a heavy new york type accent. You know being a raccoon and all.

Yep , this movie looks like it's gonna be awesome ! For Rocket Racoon's voice , his UMvsC3's voice was awesome . But Cooper is a good choice :) .
But do we know if Rocket Racoon will be completely-CGI or if they'll use Motion Capture ?

In Ultimate Spider-Man, he had a Brooklyn/New Jersey accent. It wasn't that great, to be honest with you.
