After finishing this issue I thought, "how the hell are they going to keep these characters around? They're way too complicated with complex backgrounds a Justice League reader won't ever understand."

Apparently the 'Dial E' special won't be included in Dial H trades...

''Collects #7-15 of Dial H.'' From the desc. of Dial H's 2nd and final Trade.

    More info here: http://www.amazon.com/Dial-Vol-Excha...I2ES0CNY81TP45

I'm guessing since the trade is long already, and the Villains Month special is not a part of the ''main story'' they're just going to reprint that on the JL trade. Still pretty fucked up for us readers of the series who can't get single issues outside the US.

It is interesting that the first word they used was 'consistant'.

I found that it was ANYTHING but consistant. Some issues were absolutely top-notch (the story with Open-Window Man in the 'graffitti' land springs to mind) while others were bogged down in a confusing morass of sometimes impenenetrable plot.

I think it might read better in a single sitting.

It definitely does. I went back and reread the entire run yesterday and some issues that left me like "WTF" had a greater clarity when I didn't have to wait a month to get the next tidbit and forget little plot points. Still this was an amazing series and I'm sad to see it go.

Hopefully Mieville gets a new book soon from DC.*crosses fingers for Zatanna solo*

Nice to see a review not slating the artist. I like the art on this book and I've like Ponticelli's work on Frankenstein too.
Currently enjoying: Batman, Detective Comics, American Vampire, Saga, The Wake, Letter 44, The Manhattan Projects, Atomic Robo, East of West, Ghosted, FBP...

It is already 240pgs long, I don't think they could include it even if they wanted to (which I don't think its the case).

    They'll just ignore everything,as usual.
I've had a dream in which they kept Jent around as C-lister hero with Boy Chimney's soul posessing him, but I doubt it can happen.
