Default REVIEW: Wolverine and the X-Men, #33

"Wolverine and the X-Men" #33 is less parody and more about the turning points for several of its characters, but Jason Aaron and Nick Bradshaw don't lose sight of making "The Hellfire Saga" fun.

Does Kitty and/or Lockheed show up in this?

Was not expecting this title to be out this week. Was only expecting Ultimate X-Men and Wolverine 7 (still waiting for that review)

I don't appreciate false advertising on covers like that. There wasn't a fight with Krakoa either.

Anything to keep sales afloat, I guess.

Aaron should start writing for messageboards, I hear that's great for inflating sales.

wow. I agree whole heartally with the review thread this was awesome and did good with the character arcs

I really liked this issue. it moved the plot along Having the X-Men ride in on Krakoa was a cool image. Kid Omega is coming along nicely in development alot under Aaron he likable now rather then just the bratty kid trying to be like magneto. I still dont like whats been done with husk but i just hope he reaches the point with the ongoing plot more quickly. Toad was awesome here taking down Sauron wow and i really hope Husk doesnt kill Him. Idie was better this issue. a lot better then im a monster and her eyes when Kade told her he shot Broo nice. I dont think Kade dies here im expecting Idie to realize that killing him wont help Broo. at least it was hinted thats where her mind is at plus i expect kade and the brats to confront Wolverine and the X-Men in the next to issue like #34 cover suggests. while dressing Idie in the garb of the black queen while she is a 14 yr old teen is a tad creepy, no one said Kade or the brats were sane lol. the only thin the next two issue need to really address is the brotherhoods involvment and knowledge of what is going on they better not be aware of the reason that kade is bulding the new Hellions for if they did and didnt care id find that odd.

on art i didnt like Bradshaw much but im getting used to it

i enjoyed the book and the focus on the kids. I do hope when Amazing X-Men comes out and the focus shifts to the school only that more them aarons kids get spotlighted since the book wont need to focus on the teachers much im looking forward to the future of the book. It's great to be a X-Fan right now im enjoying every book they are putting out right now

Wait wasn't it Max that shot Broo?(well that what he said in the Frank arc. anyway) looks like Kade is taking his cred and his girl.

I really liked this issue, the best for this title in a long time. The plot is moving forward and it looks like a nice battler is on the horizon againt the Hellfire Club and most likely their Sentinels.

It will be nice to finally see this Gold Team and the kids fight a real fight.

    Loved this issue.
    Toad was class!
Quentin continues to grow as a character.
Idie was awesome & it was great to see her resist the Hellfire Academy's teachings.
Even Dog Logan had a few good moments. His line to Sabretooth was great!
