I enjoyed it overall. For all that the fight scenes were monsters and robots duking it out I found the action easier to follow than many other movies I've watched over the last few years. But most of my criticisms of the movie revolve around the fact that I am just getting bored with non stop explosions and battles in movies. I knew that going in so I wasn't too critical but sci-fi/fantasy movies need to lose some pyrotechnics and pic up some denser story telling for me to keep going to the theatre to watch them.
What if I told you that there's a quarter of the movie that's removed that did just that?

I'd tell you that I can't wait for the director's cut. It is sad but not surprising to hear that.

Interestingly, that's the same lineup we saw this last weekish, and in that order.

I was pretty pleased with The Conjuring; for all it followed the typical progression, I felt it did so very well and with some unique touches.

My brother and his family took me there for dinner. Just take out the Mashed Potatos for a Baked Potato and that was dinner. Add 2 meat skewers for lunch and 3 super rum drinks at 4pm, all surrounded by Disneyland fun, my ass was done for the day.

But I got a great dinner and lots of drinking accomplished!
