Maybe not, but that's kind of just Jubilee for you. Rarely ready for what comes her way, but usually willing to jump in with both feet and improvise her way through.

You should probably watch more of the MTV.

Cyclops has a child, Nathan. Nathan gets sent to the future to be raised by an order of psychic time travel nuns or something.
Wolverine has a son, Akihara (aka Daken). Ends up getting raised by some random Japanese couple.
Professor X has a son, David. Doesn't even know about him until David's a mentally troubled teenager.
Iceman thought he might be a father once. Runs off to try and be a father, finds out it isn't his.
Shadowcat thinks she got pregnant. It ends up being a tiny Brood invasion.
Cyclops finds another baby, named Hope. Sends it off to be raised by his gun-toting commando son Nathan.
Jubilee finds a baby and actually gets to raise it herself.

No one who has a child the usual way also gets to raise it. These people are just incapable of having families in the usual way.
    Colossus' son Peter.
Wolverine's other kids (including adopted Amiko)

only Jubilee and Nightcrawler (and that's only for an alternate version of himself) come out good.

It's no wonder that these people latch onto each other as some sort of surrogate family. It's the best they can do.

I love how this series promotes tru diversity. Psylocke, Jubilee, Fat Bebbeh, Hellion, Hisako, Karima, and Kenji Uedo - this is the only legit X-book.

No, but I suppose he does add diversity as a disabled character. You know, what with his detached "floaty hands".

Mystique is the biological mother of Nightcrawler and adoptive mother of Rogue, one could say she's the best example thus far.

She did chuck one of them off a cliff dumpster baby style though....

Cipher gets plenty of panel time. She just doesn't allow everyone to see her, obvs.

    Cipher deserves a position on a team...not to mention a personality/development. What a cool power-set.

Maybe Cable and X-Force should recruit her for a heist.

Brian Wood made a huge liar out of me. I went from having ZERO faith in this series to it becoming my favorite X-Book. I cannot wait
