This whole series has been great. It's the first one I read once its available.

Face-meltingly good. "A dog was born with the face of a child, screaming in terror. It did not live long." SHUDDER.

I have very much enjoyed Aaron's run, but think this is less a review than a fannish gushing. This issue was actually one of the weaker ones in my eyes. The plotting was inconsistent (the Thors taking three pages to decide on a plan of action that was ultimately jumping overboard was too dilated; Thor rescuing a planet too compact, as I had to read it several times to figure out what was going on), and Gorr is becoming less an interesting villain and more like something that a 10-year-old would create; he apparently has close to limitless powers (that have yet to be defined or explained). I never thought that the Thors would win because Gorr has always won in the past more or less because he always wins.

That said, Aaron writes the Thors extremely well and Ribic's art, while occasionally abusing the splash page, beautifully rendered and colored. I'd give Aaron's overall run 4 stars and this issue 3.

Yes, I like it even better than JMS and Coipel's run.

Nice to see another Witcher fan on these boards, by the way...

I guess I'm way too old for this stuff, but Thor has always been a favorite of mine. I really do like Ribic's art, but the story is weak and the villain is boring with a truly stupid name. I guess I miss the usual supporting cast, and the three Thors do nothing for me. I've read the ten issues now and am really underwhelmed.

Agreed. In my opinion, this is Marvel's Best Book out on the market.

Its one of the few I give a 10 out of 10 and this issue certainly scored it.

It has been really good. I didn't mean to start purchasing the title, but it was too good not to have.

Saint of Killers turned down the chance to reunite with his family and was able to achieve his objective of killing the deity he hated. Gorr unfortunately for him tried to re-create his family and the result was predictable tragedy.
