    Default Dave Alvarez Art gallery, portfolio and other baked goodies

    Hey, there;
    My name is Dave Alvarez. I've been around for a while. I've been a freelance artist since 1998. I illustrated the Looney Tunes comics as well as character and storyboards for companies like WB, Eidos and others.
    I'm also the creator of a comic strip called Yenny which was published daily by Universal Press' GoComics: http://www.facebook.com/yennycartoons

    Below are some samples of my work which I hope you enjoy.

    Thanks!

    Recently I decided to try my hand on the Disney characters. Everyone remembers the classic Disney short ‘Lonesome Ghosts’, Mickey, Donald and Goofy as the first Ghost Hunters, so the obvious modern twist was to make them as Ghostbusters
    So here they are, Mickey, Donald and Goofy in just two pages, (I haven’t done anymore) … Lonesome Ghostbusters.

    Here's another fan made Disney comic in process by yours truly. Only five pages so far but the idea is to take it to eight pages at least when I have the time.
    So here it is, GOOFY in "How to be an Iron Man"

    Hey man, great job, especially the Disney strips. One thing though, maybe add shadows to the character? That way he feels more integrated with the scene instead of "floating" on the scene.

    Usually I do but sometimes these cartoon comics are done that way on purpose. It depends on the style.
    Thanks for the good words!
