The derail happens after the first fight with Greed.

That's not a spoiler, right? If there's guys called Envy, Lust and Gluttony you can probably expect a dude called Greed to show up after a while.

Nah. Heard the names in relation to the show before.

Only about 10 episodes in anyway.

Eh, you'll notice some differences straight away after watching the first episode of Brotherhood...

But like Omegalith said; the hardcore derail happens after the first fight with Greed.

Yeah, there's a short prequel story slotted in, then it has a faster pace with a few differences until it catches up with the adapted material.

    Right.

Seem weird they'd make like two versions. Is this like a 4kids edit thing?

Nah, they licensed an Anime adaptation waaaaaaaay too early, and it was either keep making episodes without a script, or wait a few years for her to finish writing it.

Then when the Manga finished, they licensed an Anime adaptation of it, seeing as there technically wasn't already one and it was really popular.

No, not filler. A different story set in the same Universe.

Within the context of the original anime, there's very little filler. Heck, some characters get more screen time and development than they do in the manga/Brotherhood.

I'm kind of excited for that, since it's the kind of movie you wouldn't expect, especially since they aren't the more iconic heroes of Marvel.

I can understand why they're doing the GoTG though.

I mean, with Thanos being the main baddy in the Avengers 2, there needs to be a set up as to why he's so dangerous. I mean, unless you're a comic book reader with some comic book reading experience under your belt, Thanos is just some purple dude who dresses in a purple and gold onesie...

So, I figure the GoTG will get beat down by Thanos, then escape to Earth to warn/get help from the Avengers.

I don't know who's writing the movie script, but Dan Abnett's run on the Guardians of the Galaxy comic was brilliant. It'd be awesome if he gets to work on the film as well.

You say that about everything Dan Abnett writes though.

Also: Comics Wolverine, Movie Wolverine or 90's Fox Cartoon Wolverine: Which is best?

Welp...um...didn't actually like Embedded, and couldn't get into his Horus 40k books.

But honestly, his 40k Gaunt's Ghosts novels and all his Marvel cosmic stuff (Nova, Guardians, a ton of event books) is just great to read.

    Silly Omegalith.

    That's not an "or" question.

    Wolverine is the best.
