Logan works better without the costume. Some of his best stories had him not wearing it at all. Bring back the non-costume that John Buscema designed.
Check out the O.A.W. Report at www.majinoaw.blogspot.com. You want to see why I say the things I do or understand what's in my head... this is the place to go.
Bit of a shame that Paul's not interested in returning to Captain Britain, he wrote all the British characters like Brian, Meggan, Faizia and the like so well. Still, one respects someone keen to do new things and I'm pretty hopeful with his Wolverine series.
I'm not. Not really. I'll buy a few issues and see how much I like it. Frankly, though there are likely more stories to be told about him, we don't really need to know EVERYTHING about a character. I'd rather move on from a character that has appearances in many, many comics and see more of the characters in MI13.
I do understand that he doesn't want to talk about it. Also, maybe he feels he told all he could with those characters, but it sure didn't seem like it. And that's a shame. Rather disappointed by the answer.
Yeah, I kind of like him out of the costume as well. Or at least in one that isn't so bright and silly looking. Wonder why he didn't get a cool Marvel NOW redesign? Even if they don't want to put him in brown and tan (his best color scheme IMO), they could make his costume more blue than yellow so that it fits the character a little more. Like so:

Oh well yes, if it came to a choice between a new Captain Britain or Excalibur ongoing or another series with Logan, I'd pick the Captain every time, much as I like Mr Wolverine. It is quite possible that he had all the stories he wanted to tell but I do sometimes wonder if it wasn't the abrupt cancellion he had to put with last time. I just hope someday that someone might take the nice set-up he left on and let Brian and Meggan have some new stories. What with an animated Big Hero Six film, Marvel really should be highlighting more of its non-American super hero teams, even if it's just the odd mini-series here and there.
I was kind of disappointed by Cornell's answer with regards to Captain Britain & MI:13, but I do understand it. After that series was over, it was probably the only thing that anyone ever asked him about...and I can see that being frustrating if he has new books & stories that he's creating and is excited about.
I'm excited about this series though. I think that Cornell gets Logan. I've always said the same thing with regards to Logan being a loner. Logan was a loner before because he was afraid to let people in...for fear of hurting them (because of the mind-state that he was in with the berserker rages, etc). Over time, he started to let more people in, and gained a family in the X-men and friends/teammates in the Avengers. Sure, with some missions, he'll still want to do things alone...but he's not that same loner character that he once was.

I love Wolverine. My problem with his solo titles is they have to be REALLY good RUNS, otherwise I'm not that interested. But that is only because he is in everything. I don't need to pick it up when I already read him elsewhere.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.
Kraken rum is the bomb.
All we need now is an ongoing to tell us what Logan does while he's in the shitter.
I love that Nick is going to be a permanent cast member. Looking forward to seeing that relationship develop moving forward.

Yeah, I've never understood the affection shown to the original blue and yellow costume. I've never liked it. John Byrne's 1980 redesign, the real "classic", with the dark browns and oranges, not only looked cooler, but made more sense for the characters. The original idea for the blue and yellow costume was to make it look something like the Michigan Wolverine's football uniforms, which makes no sense whatsoever for a Canadian character (granted, nobody knew that in 1974). It's my understanding that the original suit came back because Jim Lee wanted it back in the early 90's. I like Jim Lee's art, but I swear that guy has been the cause of more superhero fashion faux pau's...
