A week ago I asked what was your Favorite Trek series of all-time. Deep Space Nine won hands down. So does this mean Captain Sisko is the best Captain? Personally, I like Sisko but no one beats Kirk. What do you guys think?

Sisko. Why do I love ol' Ben? Because he is the biggest bad ass.

I always look at Sisko as a cross between Kirk's shoot first, ask questions later and Picard's diplomatic prowess. And yet still make the character completely his own.
Sisko was great, as was Picard (minus the times he carried the prime directive to murderous/genocidal levels), but Kirk's my guy. No arguing with childhood heroes.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
Tough call for me, I like pretty much all of them. I voted Picard, though, seeing as how I grew up on The Next Generation.
Picard.
he was the thinking man's captain.
Captain Picard, naturally. In the far reaches of the future, where man is so removed from his distant past that a French accent can no longer be differentiated from a British accent, there exists one man with an amazing gift for improvisational speechcrafting so powerful that he can literally talk an enemy into submission and force him to acknowledge just how amazing humanity is. Be he a klingon, a Romulan, Cardasian, a Ferengi, or even a Godlike member of the Q continuum, it matters not. When Jean Luc Picard gives you a speech about Duty, honor, and sacrifice, alongside the Unlimited potential of alllllll mankind, you will fail. The forces of evil shut their damn mouths when Jean Luc Picard is speaking.
My second favorite is Benjamin Sisko. He had a death glare.

Always Sisko for me.
I have this idea for the next X-teme Games Gold Medal Event--Bear Tickling. Its like Bull riding but more X-treme! You are timed on how long you can tickle a bear before he attacks you.

Kirk is fun to watch but in many ways a terrible captain, and those shows were so skewed to favor him by the end anyway, Janeway got under my skin in that imho she got the ship in so much trouble just to prove that gender didn't matter in being a good captain. Sisko annoyed me once they got to the whole chosen one or when he started to be the link to the wormhole spirits...in the end it's Picard for me, the right mix of diplomacy and restraint, all whilest carrying a big old photon torpedo behind his back in case his adversary didn't agree to his terms.
W/B Warpath/Siryn Sam/Tabitha I'll go now............................................... ...
Picard was the BEST Captain... but my favorite was undoubtedly Kirk.
He was a lover and a fighter. Which doesn't necessarily make for a good Captain, but he was sure fun to watch.
<--------- He's my favourite.
William Shatner's Captain James Tiberius Kirk is the best Captain, in my opinion, followed by:
Sisko
Janeway
Kirk (Chris Pine version)
Picard
Archer
Archer is my least favorite captain because when he wasn't getting kidnapped almost every week, he was busy pacing back and forth. There were probably episodes in which he paced back and forth after he had been kidnapped.
Here's an odd question: Who met Captain Kirk first...Sisko or Picard?

Storm & Black Panther: The Goddess and the Demi-God
Forward with Storm and Black Panther
The Trinity: Storm, Black Panther, Blue Marvel
FAVOURITE CAPTAIN: Capt. Jean-Luc Picard
He's the best actor of all the captains, he has the best "will-they/won't-they" romance with Dr. Crusher, he has the best tragic storyline (the Borg) and probably the most moving episodes (Family, Sarek, Inner Light). Picard = win!
"I don't know how to please you Lord, but I think the fact I try to please you, pleases you."
Easily The Sisko... I mean, Ben Sisko.
Not only was he a great admiral, but a great captain, spiritual leader, and best of all... A fantastic father despite the adversity both he and Jake faced.
