    MINIATURE JESUS #3 (of 5)

What I hate from Image Comics is that their trades are coming out just with the last arc issue or with the next arc issue. They do not keep a "distance" between the singles and the trades.

The second point is the prices of the trades: much less expensive than the singles. Sometimes, extras are included. So, why pay a maximum for incomplete singles when you can have the trade at a bargain price and with extras???

OK, I am buying the new Ted McKeever. I have done the same thing with his Mondo. I also have bough the trade because "mature extras included". What a lie!!! The extras content could really have been printed into the singles. There was nothing shocking for a rated Mature title.

Image Comics, the "new old" Marvel Comics Group entity???? I really hate this publisher...
    2000 AD of course!!!

This is what I love about Image. I've been waiting for over a year for a paperback version of Casey and Dragotta's Vengeance. Why is it taking so long? What's the point? With Image's quick paperback release time, I don't have to wait months for comics that are already finished. And if new readers want to catch up, they can and then go straight into the singles if they'd like.

I know! Shame on them for trying to bring in new readers without constantly rebooting or overcharging for their trades. :)

Weird, most people love that. It allows them to easily catch up/keep current on titles they are thinking about checking out. Missed the first few issues of something you thought looked interesting? That's OK, a cheap trade will soon be out and then you can jump immediately into getting the singles and staying current. Seems both smart business wise and appealing to fans.

It is a smart business move. Now if only DC would learn how to do that!!!

    .
I imagine it's because since they've already put out a hardcover collection, putting out a trade isn't a priority, particularly if the sales for the hardcover were underwhelming.

According to Amazon, the date for the trade has been pushed back to 2020. So....yeah, I don't think it's ever coming. Probably time to pony up for the HC.
