Man... those pages are beautiful. The rotating team of Stuart and David work perfectly.

Agreed. But I miss Marquez's Teen Jean. If I had to pick a permanent artist for this book it would be Marquez.

I hope they keep both artists, because both are astounding and I wish to continue reading this 2x per month. Also I got my wish fulfilled in Kitty and the teachers not leaving what Jean did alone after the end of last issue. I'm ok with the fact THAT it happened as long it's continued to be displayed to her that it's wrong. Man I can't wait for the next issue of this and Uncanny.

Agreed. Both are great. Although, overall, i'd prefer if one stuck with this series and the other went to Uncanny X-men (because i can't stand Bachalo's art, as you may have already noticed)

The artwork is beautiful and so is the moment between Kitty and Jean. I think with no Charles Xavier around, someone has to be there to tell Jean Grey that probing minds without permission is not a good idea. The whole "says who?" moment was very powerful. I think this is definitely something that is going to trouble Jean Grey for quite a while, especially once the Guardians of the Galaxy enter the picture. And I think it's either this issue or the next one that crosses over with the pages of Uncanny X-men. I'm still holding out for a confrontation between Emma Frost and Jean Grey. I think if those two ever have a meeting of the minds, it'll be a beautiful thing!

The art is gorgeous, yes, but really, it just feels like these guys have been hanging around the school going "OMG, ZE FUTURE!" for almost two paperbacks now.

This isn't even a decompression issue--it's like there's no story to tell here for Bendis. Just a high concept to put into play.

Also, weren't they supposed to get new costumes last issue?

And this is what annoys me. The future? Bendis is writing like he took the X-men into the present day from the 60s. Wouldn't they more likely have been pulled from the mid-to-late 90s? Commercialism isn't something that just happened over the past few years, Cyclops.

i love Bachalo, but i get that he's got a polarizing style.

Irving Frazer is Bachalo's rotating artist though, and I think he starts with issue 5 of Uncanny. maybe he'll be more your taste.

both Uncanny and All-New are full of nothing but artists i like. once regular X-Men starts with Wood and Coipel, i'll be able to say the same for that, haha. go Marvel! :)

I find it hilarious that Jean has trouble understanding why mind-wiping your own friends give people the creeps.

"Gosh, I don't know why they're so scared of lil ol' me! It's not my fault, he was asking. If he didn't want to get mind-raped he shouldn't be crying like that!"

They came from the late '90s, but in the Marvel U, it was like the '60s at that point in time.

I don't get why Scott still has his old costume in that cover with Havok if they get new costumes this issue.

Probably the same reason New Avengers has Beast pre 3rd mutation on their covers.

There's the possibility that that isn't the final cover for the issue. After all, look at the AvX tie-in of New Avengers #28 where the cover changed from featuring Mockingbird to featuring Spiderwoman.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.
