Thanks zryson for the information and for the clarification. I haven't had success in seeing that one page again yet. I will try (google) more.

No worries! I saw that issue title but didn't know that Porquerolles is a French island.

    Cheers!

How about some more pictures? I think these two are from the same black and white comic before:

For those who are still following this thread, I could find "La Bise" here:

Thanks zryson and Antoine for giving me some clues to google for.

    Here is the translation:

    LA BISE
    A KISS

TU ES UN AMOUR DE PETIT TRESOR! ... TIENS, JE TE FAIS LA BISE ...
YOU ARE A LITTLE TREASURE OF LOVE! ... STAND, I WILL MAKE THE KISS ...

FAUT PAS QUE CE SOIT TOUJOURS LES MEMES, NON?
SHOULD NOT THAT ALWAYS THE SAME OR NOT?

    MERCI, MON GROS TOUTOU TRESOR!
THANK YOU, MY BIG DOG TREASURE!

Those Tarzan panels might be from the old Dell/Gold Key Tarzan comics.

At a guess, "Tarzan, Governor of the Jungle" is actually "Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle" which was one of the Burroughs novels which was adapted in Gold Key #176-177.

I'll need to check the listing for the Dell stories for something that might have been translated as "A woman in the jungle" or "Four dangerous men".

Thanks foxley. It seems to me that "Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle" is the title of a series of stories. If that is the case, do you happen to have the title of that story? or may be an internet link ...

Also, I seem to remember another Tarzan story that started by showing a woman trapped under a stone column under water. Apparantly there was an ancient city, now under water, and the woman was exploring there and got trapped.

I was thinking specifically of an adaptation of the novel Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle that ran in:

    Tarzan #176

    and Tarzan #177

Thanks foxley. I think I found two of the Tarzan ones:

    Tarzan 158 (http://bildschriften.bplaced.net/bs/tarzan158.jpg)
Das Dschungelmädchen und der Hexenmeister = The Jungle Girl and the Warlock

    Tarzan 77 (http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/...2725-tar77.jpg)
    The Sunken City

Does anybody have the first page of the Sunken City? Also, if anybody remembers a Superman story that starts with showing the new office girl to where Clark was working ...
