Am I the only one thinking that the art is horrible ? Except that , it seems that every Earth's Green Lantern are tested by the First Lantern .

I have to agree with Lightsplasher - I do not like that art. I recently picked up some Milestone Comics in the 50 cent bins, and while I didn't like CrissCross art there either, I did feel it fit the gritty urban setting. Here it kind of feels like Keith Giffen art from the 80's, when he went through that period where he was trying to do Jack Kirby's style...except it looks worse.

That was my only problem with the preview... unless I missed an issue where Fatality became an Alpha...

The art isn't bad, its old school - I like it. Some of the faces are rough but I can deal.

The First Lantern is exploring possible timelines. If you read the rest of the preview he shows John what happens (Mom gets shot) and what could be (John saves Mom). That leads to 1)John as a famous architect only 2) John as Marine first.

If that's the case they would have shown Dark Stars John Stewart like they showed Warrior and Yellow Ring Guy Gardner. Plus it looks exactly like Boodikka and not Fatality. I guess I'll see when it comes out.

I'm more of a Colbert Report fan myself. HA! Just playin. I really hope they give John some actual depth. For so long all he does is regret his choices and mopes around. He's got alot of back story and like the bad dude said, John doesn't have to be the 'angry guy'.

Why is this showing a completely naked John Stewart's groin without any covering of that area and then drawing it like he's a Ken doll? I'm not saying his penis should be shown, but cover it up or don't show us that angle. Terrible art.

I think the First Lantern was looking at ALL possibilities, including one where John Stewart was born female instead of male.
