Great preview! It looks to be an awesome confrontation and one I think will resonate with the new mutants. But now Cyclops is saying Captain America is also responsible for the death of Charles Xavier? That may be pushing it. Then again, he could always point out how it was the Avengers who invaded Utopia to start the Avengers/X-men war. Or he could point out that it was the Avengers who shot the Phoenix Force with a big gun to create the Phoenix Five in the first place. Or he could point out that the Phoenix Five only became unstable when the Avengers decided to attack them repeatedly and incessently. Or he could point out how Charles Xavier kept talking down to him like a dog after blaming him for the destruction of Wakanda, of which Namor was responsible for.
Actually, I believe he may have a point in there being plenty of blame to go around. But it'll be interesting to see how the young mutants react to it. Will they have to actually fight against Captain America? Or will their image of Captain America and the Avengers be tarnished? It should be very interesting to see, especially if it leads to Cyclops and his team paying a visit to the Jean Grey institute.![]()

I wonder how Eva's teacher wangled her way to a green card and a cushy job as a New York state school inspector.

I have to admit. This looks like it's going to be a really good read. The first 2 issues didn't fill me with a lot of confidence in the series but this is turning that around. Bendis really captured how some kids would react to seeing a "real" super hero... I laughed out loud.
Hasn't Eva ever heard of Lifeguard? Now she would be a fitting role model for young Aussies with superhero aspirations.
Which he doesn't seem to be claiming. Frankly, Cap's almost as culpable in Xavier's death as Scott is. Cap's the one who ordered the unprovoked kidnapping attempt on Utopia, Cap's the one who let Tony shoot the Phoenix Force and cause it to take over Scott in the first place, Cap's the one who kept poking at the cosmic entity trying to fix the planet and (Most importantly) Cap's the one who put Xavier in the line of fire.
So long as Scott is admitting responsibility, he's within rights to remind Cap that he completely screwed the pooch too.
Finally! Someone finally points out to the self righteous douche he is also to blame for AVX. Marvel Master makes some good points.
That certainly is some Bendis dialog.

Trying not to look the Hulk in the eye, hilarious.
Also, the meta-trolling of Hulks armor is pretty funny too.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
