Funny that they still don't want to reveal who the new Batwing is.
Still excited for this new direction though.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
Sounds a lot like a grungy Batman Beyond. Betting Matu dies and David enters his role, maybe crippled somehow. New guy takes over and is a lot less dark, but the setting is just as dark as it always was. Plus there's the more Iron Man angle, it seems. Looks like it could be an interesting direction. I was buying the book anyway, but I'm excited for this shake-up.
Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.
I haven't been reading this book, but I'm interested in something different from the Batman stories, too. I've really been hoping to see Nightrunner (The Batman of Paris) return, but I don't think he'd make it all the way to the Congo for this series.
I wish we'd see something really interesting from Batman, INC that actually was like the "Batman of Many Nations", fighting crime on a local level instead of Leviathan, and then calling in each other for bigger issues. Maybe that's what Gray and Palmiotti have planned. Should be an interesting time on this title.
Sad to see David go, I think he's a cool character. I've really liked his honest-cop-in-a-sea-of-corruption deal; that has real thematic ties to Gotham. Even so, I'm always excited about seeing new stuff brought to the table. The new suit looks killer too. Should be fun.
I've been enjoying the title but appreciate the progression Gray & Palmiotti are following.
It would be nice to see this title get more integration with both the Bat family and DCU, and the lift in sales with it.
Sounds promising. The new costume is a good move because I hated that silly bat-domino mask.

I haven't been reading this title, but Palmiotti/Grey are a decent team so I might check it out. I wonder how well the African everyday life is going to be portaited by American writers. I wanted to check the artist but couldn't find any site with inside art, only covers. His deviantART page had only 5 covers.
Dear God No! Not Palmiotti and Gray on a friggen Bat title that may have been headed for cancellation any way.The herd has to be culled at one point or another. Why not just push Freedom Fighters like it needs to be pushed and drop a Bat book or two. It's not like the world needs 13-14 Bat titles a month anyway. With all this killing of Robin nonsense you know DC's prepping a new Robin title anyway. What's wrong with some Bat consolidation and bring in a Black African Robin?
I'm hopeful Gray and Palmiotti will work some magic (that this book really needs) but I can't say I'm too optimistic as to how much magic they'll be able to work
Stephanie Brown is the new Batwing. Calling it now.
I have never picked this title up (not a fan of the book's first writer), but am a huge fan of P&G. There is not a book they have written that I don't enjoy.
So I am completely on board with BATWING as of their first issue.
I haven't been reading this either, but I may give it a try. I like Gray and Palmiotti, and as long as they keep Ben Oliver far away from the art it will be worth a look.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.
There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.
I used to look at the cover of Batwing comics and just hear Stairway to Heaven backwards and a voice telling me to kill my family, but now that Judd Winnick is long gone this actually looks like a comic book I could give a shot to.
Don't worry.
