Interesting read. As self-estranged and disproportionate in his glorification of "independence" and assumptions of corporately owned comics are, the man's words have energy and initiative. I'd enjoy reading the original Spider-man now:)
While both Spider-man and Superman have become famous for a wide number of reasons, costume and color is one of them. This new character seems to lack powerful visual distinction , but it could still be extremely enjoyable.
I did like his musings on what seemed to be the circular and inscestuous direction of mainstream comics juxtaposing the void of reality (necessary or not) concerning pertinent issues. Somewhat strange from a writer who makes Marvel television, yet not all together hypocritical.

wow, this seems cool. I am sold on it!
I'm interested.
Casey is out there, and vintage Spider-Man is great.
Looking forward to Catalyst too.
So this is supposed to be "Spider-Man done right?" In theory I'm all for this. Nobody has really topped or even matched what Stan Lee originally did (though Bendis came close). But Ultimate Spider-Man (the cartoon) is garbage. Don't have a lot of faith in Casey.
This looks interesting. have to check it out.
Every pose the main character is in looks like Spider-Man.
This seems like it could be to Spidey what Invincible is to Superman/Superboy. Might have to check this out. Stoner Spidey could be interesting. I like the sound of those villains, too.
EDIT: If The Crunch isn't a reference to The Mighty Boosh, I'll be sad.
Casey's putting out a lot of stuff right now, isn't he? Sex, that Dark Horse book, this. Surprising given how busy he must be.
Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.
